In 2008 I started down a three year path towards a BA Digital Character Animation. Before that I worked as a designer on Age of Conan, following up on four released titles for the Anarchy Online team. My influence on the shots below are limited to pitching concepts, writing world designs and building upon the game's art direction.
Making modifications to existing titles, like the original Doom, got me started in the videogames business. The published titles I worked on during this period include Master Levels for Doom 2, Redneck Rampage and KISS Psycho Circus. My duties on the different projects varied, but were always centered on first-person level design.
I was into ancient history, myth, fairytales and fantasy throughout my younger years. My palette has since expanded, but I still draw inspiration from many of the concepts that sprang out of this period, the rhinotaur being the latest example.
